Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar Gets No Response From CM Mamata Banerjee On Law And Order Situation
A war of words broke out between Banerjee and Dhankar after the NIA arrested six alleged Al-Qaeda operatives from Murshidabad district on September 19.
Governor of West Bengal, Jagdeep Dhankhar who is also the member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has pulled up CM Mamata Banerjee on law and order. Reports claim that there has been no response yet from the secretariat or CM Mamata Banerjee. According to sources, Dhankhar asked Banerjee to urgently brief him about the explosive law and order situation in the state. Now, Dhankar says there is no response on law and order from both the parties even after several attempts.
A war of words broke out between Banerjee and Dhankar after the governor alleged that the state has become a “home of illegal bomb-making”. On September 19, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had arrested six alleged Al-Qaeda operatives from Murshidabad district. Banerjee wrote a nine-page letter in response to Dhankar’s allegations warning the governor of legal consequences and accusing him of trying to defame an elected government.
