Gopalganj Bridge Collapse: Watch The Corruption Story Of Bihar Government
The bridge collapse has now triggered a political slugfest in the state between the government and the opposition.

A portion of Sattarghat bridge on Gandak river in Gopalganj of Bihar collapsed on Wednesday (July 15), a month after it was inaugurated by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The bridge collapse has now triggered a political row in the state between the government and the opposition. These cases of corruption in Bihar are not new. The report shows how deep the roots of corruption are in the system of Bihar. The bridge collapse, however, has become an embarrassment for the Nitish Kumar-government with the opposition trying to pin it as another corruption case under the present regime.
“A bridge constructed in eight years collapsed in 29 days of its inauguration,” said opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). “The Bhishma Pitamah of organised corruption, Nitish Kumar, will not say a word on this. Will he sack the road construction minister who started his career on a cycle and now travels in a Land Rover?” He also tweeted slamming the government. Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav was livid at Tejashwi’s remark.
