Gear Up For An #AwesomeBlockbusterAugust With The August 2020 Line-up on ZEE5

During the lockdown ZEE5, the largest content producer in India, has continued to bring you fresh entertainment throughout the lockdown. In the month of July alone, we’ve seen the digital releases of brilliant films like Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Yaara and Hansal Mehta’s Omerta. With the launch of the ZEE5 Club Pack subscribers were given access to some premium content and exclusive benefits for a lower price. Here’s what you can look forward to on ZEE5 in the upcoming month.

In premium content you will get a number of fresh releases across all languages. Prakash Jha’s Pareeksha is set to release on 6 August 2020 and it throws light on the faults in out education system which still has the class divide. Mee Raqsam, releasing on 21 August 2020 is another highly awaited film presented by Shabana Azmi and directed by her brother Baba Azmi. This film is about a girl from a small-town who tries to follow her dream to become a classical dancer but is held back by society because her religion.

Watch out for the Marathi films Idak, an adventure drama, and Fattehshikast, which is based on Chatrapati Shivaji’s battle against Shaistakhan. The popular crime thriller, Abhay is set to return on 14 August 2020. This new season is set to star Ram Kapoor, Chunky Pandey and Raghav Juyal in surprising roles as serial killers.

The Zindagi original series Churails, directed by Oscar nominated director Asim Abbasi, is an interesting story about women empowerment and gender politics. Bhanwar is an original series about time travel starring Karanvir Bohra (The Casino) releasing on 18 August 2020. Kushal Tandon, Shiv Jyoti Rajput and Karan Jotwani star in Bebaakee a romantic series releasing on 23 August 2020. These three series will also be made available to ZEE5 Club Pack subscribers.
