Gauahar Khan And Fiance Zaid Darbar Dance Their Heart Out On Their Haldi Ceremony; See Pictures

A few days back, Bollywood actor Gauahar Khan announced her wedding with YouTuber Zaid Darbar. Ever since the news was shared, the internet was flooded with numerous congratulatory messages for the duo. And, now they have started with their pre-wedding festivities. They started the celebration with ‘chiksa‘ ceremony. For the unversed, chiksa in Muslim tradition is equivalent of the Haldi ceremony.  In this ceremony, a paste of turmeric and sandalwood in rosewater is applied to the bride and groom to ward off the evil eye. The 37-year-old actor looked radiant in a yellow lehenga while groom-to-be twinned with his would-be-wife. Coming to the above-video, we also caught a few glimpses of veteran singer-composer and Zaid’s father Ismail Darbar. Apart from the video, Gauahar and Zaid’s close friends and family members shared a couple of pictures from the celebration. Awez  Darbar, Anam Darbar, Neeti Simoes, And Nigaar Khan were few who flooded their social media account with the pictures from the ceremony.

Well, a couple of hours, before the chiska ceremony, the Ishaqzaade actor had shared a picture with groom-to-be Zaid and captioned it as, “When half of me met half of you and together the better halves shaped our beautiful moments. #Alhamdulillah. Day 1 of #GaZa celebrations – Chiksa”. As soon as the pictures were posted on her social media feed, Khan’s friends from the industry like Hina Khan, Mukti Mohan and Jay Bhanushali, shared warm wishes for the couple.

Khan had announced her wedding date in November. In a brief note on Instagram, the actor mentioned that her wedding will be an intimate affair with only family and close friends in attendance. Gauahar’s wedding announcement note read, “The year 2020 has been anything but ordinary and our love story through it all has been nothing short of extraordinary! It gives us immense joy to announce that we are tying the knot and embarking on a journey of forever. Keeping the current scenario in mind, we will be celebrating the big day with our family in an intimate ceremony. We seek your blessings & love & are eternally grateful for the constant support & the outpour of warm wishes we have received. We hope for every soul to find its mate and pray for every heart to find it’s reason to beat. All our love, Gauahar and Zaid”.
