Gangster Vikas Dubey Escapes From Faridabad Hotel Before Police Close In
Dubey’s right-hand man, Amar Dubey, was killed in an encounter in Hamirpur, and four of his associates were captured.
The hunt for dreaded gangster Vikas Dubey, responsible for the deaths of eight policemen in an encounter in Kanpur on July 3, has managed to escape from a hotel in Faridabad before police could close in on him. Meanwhile, his right-hand man Amar Dubey didn’t have as much luck, even as police personnel killed him in an encounter in Harmirpur. One SHO and an STF constable were injured in the exchange of fire during the said encounter.
The police have also managed to nab four of Vikas Dubey’s other accomplices, including another main aide named Shyamu Bajpai. Vikas Dubey was apparently visiting a relative’s house in Faridabad Sector 87 when he decided to stay at a hotel in the area. CCTV footage has confirmed that the gangster had indeed visited the hotel in the evening. However, he somehow found out about the police movement and managed to flee before they could get to him.
