This Friendship Day, let’s take a look at five elders from our Zee Telugu shows who are nothing less than a friend to their kids.

Friendship Day is special to many of us. When stuck at home during the nation-wide lockdown, there may be little scope to go out and celebrate with the ones who we call friends. However, this lockdown has made us realise that our first friends will always be our parents or other elders who we grew up with. So, we take a look at some of the closest friends from our Zee Telugu shows. And we’re sure you’ll find someone similar in your life too.

Watch the latest episode of Ninne Pelladatha here:

Our favourite father-daughter duo from Prema Entha Madhuram also happen to be the closest of friends. Subbu and Anu (Varsha) understand each other’s pain without using any words. Sometimes, they know just the right thing to do which makes the other person happier. But more importantly, they always know when to look out for them.

Sundaram and Sarsu

Sundaram may not be Sarsu’s (Madhumitha) biological father, but he has always seen her as his daughter. This uncle-niece duo from No 1 Kodalu is no less than any BFF duo. Their relationship teaches us the value of staying close to your blood relatives. And it also shows that at the end of the day, family is all we have.

Next, we have Arjun Prasad and Bharati from Ninne Pelladatha. They are biological parents to Mansi and foster parents to Mrudula. Despite the parental pressure, the two girls have always found themselves mingling, mocking, annoying and playing with their parents over other kids because of their friendly nature.

Aishu and Laya

We had to talk about the coolest grandma in the Telugu TV world, Aishu from Thoorpu Padamara. Aishu, as she prefers calling herself, is Laya’s (Yamini) grandmother who refuses to have aged beyond 21. She wants all the good things in life and teaches her granddaughter who is also her friend to live freely and enjoy every moment.

Bebakka and Shruti

Lastly, we have yet another BFF pair from Thoorpu Padamara and it is Bebakka and Shruti, the aunt and niece duo. They are two feisty women who refuse to let the other one feel out of control. They continue fueling each other’s fire even when the world asks them to stay low and stay quiet. After all, you can never let your BFF bend the knee. Isn’t that true?
