Former Governor Of Nagaland and Ex-CBI Chief Ashwani Kumar Commits Suicide In His Shimla House

The police have recovered a suicide note from Ashwani Kumar’s residence.

On Wednesday, October 8, former governor of Nagaland and ex-Central Bureau of Investigation chief Ashwani Kumar committed suicide in his Shimla house. The police team led by SP Shimla Mohit Chawla rushed to the spot and is currently investigating in the case. The police have also recovered a suicide note from Ashwani Kumar’s residence. However, they have not revealed the details written in the note. Himachal Pradesh police chief Sanjay Kundu said a team of forensic experts has reached the crime scene and is collecting evidence.

According to the sources, Kumar was one of the most decorated and respected officers and an efficient politician. He is a recipient of the President’s Police medal for his extraordinary contributions and distinguished services. He had served as the additional director and joint director in the CBI. Moreover, Kumar also served in the Special Protection Group.
