As investigations get deeper in the Sushant case, a forensics team from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi has conducted a viscera test from the reports of the late actor, to check for any poisoning. The team, headed by Doctor Sudhir Gupta has adopted an FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) technique to conduct this test.
Now, a fresh viscera report will be put together, using the 20% preserved viscera of the Chhichhore actor. The Mumbai police had previously interrogated the case and the forensic findings of that will be referred to, by the AIIMS doctors.
After Rajput’s family cried foul of a possible murder angle, the investigating agency was trying to find evidence for the same. According to sources, no concrete proof of the crime has been found yet.
Many doubts were raised about the Bollywood star’s post-mortem report, with important details about the ligature marks on his body and time of his death missing. This prompted the CBI to create a fresh autopsy file.
The team of forensic experts is expected to present their final report to the medical board on the 17 September.
