Exclusive: Nivedita Saraf-Girish Oak’s Agga Bai Sasubai Is The Most-Watched Show On ZEE5!

The popular Marathi drama Agga Bai Sasubai has been awarded for being the most-watched show on the ZEE5 app! The show features Nivedita Saraf, Tejashri Pradhan, and Girish Oak in the lead roles and the cast was honoured for the big achievement at the High Five at ZEE5 awards that were held virtually, amidst the ongoing lockdown. Agga Bai Sasubai was nominated alongside Zee TV’s popular Hindi serials such as Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya. Even though it is watched primarily by the Marathi audience, the show left others behind in the race to emerge as the winner! Viewers are taking to the serial due to its engaging plotline and progressive, refreshing content.

The show revolves around a daughter-in-law getting her mother-in-law remarried and settled, despite the unsupportive attitude of the former’s son Soham. Shubhra, played by Tejashri, is the daughter-in-law every woman wishes to have. The encouraging and joyous girl helps her mother-in-law Asawari by building her confidence and helping her get married to the love of her life – Abhijeet Raje. This move of hers may have helped Asawari’s future but has ruined Shubhra’s present as her husband Soham has begun to act incredibly difficult. He is trying to cause trouble in Abhijeet-Asawari’s life and trying to bring his mother home as he is used to her presence.

With side characters like Pradnya adding fuel to the fire, this show has certainly piqued the curiosity of viewers with its interesting plot twists. In the recent episodes, Soham’s alleged affair with their neighbor Pradnya, Asawari’s slap to Soham,  the latter temporarily leaving home and Shubhra’s parents’ visit has kept us all on our toes!
