Dubai’s Burj Khalifa Turns Into The World’s Largest Donation Box
Burj Khalifa has turned into a donation centre as people are contributing to provide food to the poor during the month of Ramadan.
The Burj Khalifa, known as the Burj Dubai, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. However, during the time of need, it has proved to be not just the tallest building in the world but also the representation of each donation made to relieve coronavirus-hit communities across the United Arab Emirates.
The Burj Khalifa, which stands 2,717 feet high, has been transformed into the world’s tallest donation box as part of a campaign to provide millions of meals to people with low-income. The appeal came during the month of Ramadan. For each $2.7 of donation, one of the building’s 1.2 million LED lights will be illuminated – each representing a meal and we are sure this will look surreal and beautiful.
Additionally, on Sunday, less than 24 hours since the launch of the appeal, a live count on the website indicated that more than 180,000 meals had been donated which has now increased to 2,80,000.
