Rakul Preet Singh prepared herself to the best of her abilities for her upcoming film Doctor G. The actress will be seen donning a doctor’s coat in the film and it marks her first collaboration with actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Shefali Shah. Rakul Preet Singh, months before had to learn medical terms and nuances to ace her role. The actress had to make herself acquainted with surgical rooms for her comedy-drama. The movie is going to be steer-headed by Anubhuti Kashyap.
When the film was in the writing stage, the director had made sure that the portrayal of the medical profession is shown with sheer perfection. Anubhuti Kashyap wanted the actors of the film to be comfortable in their space and be able to get into the skin of the characters with ease. The crew of the film hired experts to conduct special sessions with the cast Rakul, Ayushmann and Shefali and help them prepare to the best of their abilities for the film.

Rakul Preet Singh felt interacting with experts gave her a deep sense of understanding and the actor opened up about her role and said shooting for Doctor G was an amazing shooting experience. The actress revealed that she had to learn a lot of medical terms in order to make her role look real on-screen. Rakul Preet Singh further reveals that she will always cherish the transformation journey of becoming Dr Fatima.
The actress was quoted saying to a leading publication that wearing a doctor’s coat comes with a lot of responsibility even if she is wearing it just for a character. Rakul Preet Singh had to test multiple looks in order to get the end result right. The actress added that she wanted Dr Fatima to look as close to real as possible. She mentioned that when they had to portray parents in the film, the actress learned how difficult the life of a doctor can be.
The film is co-written by Anubhuti, Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh and Saurabh Bharat. The makers of the film, have recently finished shooting a major schedule in Prayagraj, and they revealed to a leading daily that the film will be completed by the end of this month.
