Though the world is fighting with the pandemic, the festivals and celebrations manage to keep us positive. One of the prominent festivals of India is also around the corner. While adapting to the new normal, many of us may miss the way we used to celebrate Diwali every year; with loads of sweets and firecrackers. But, as the festival itself has taught us that it’s always good who wins over anything, here are 7 ZEE5 original shows that will remind you that this darkness too shall pass soon.

Mulk

Starring the late actor Rishi Kapoor along with the powerhouse of talent Taapsee Pannu, Mulk is a hard-hitting story, which exactly defines our hook. Inspired by true events, the film throws light on the story of a Muslim family trying to reclaim its lost honour after a family member gets involved in terrorism. The courtroom drama has a few sequences and arguments that will surely get stuck in your head.

Khaali Peeli

Although the latest offering of ZEE5, Khaali Peeli, seems to be a mass-masala entertainer, the film also reminds us that in the end the good rules over evil. The antagonist Yusuf Khan separated the childhood sweethearts Pooja and Blackie for his own mean deeds. The couple stayed away from each other for years, but, the wait ended and they reunited. Yusuf’s evil deeds pushed Pooja and Blackie into a life that they never imagined of, but they found their way by the end of the film.

Mee Raqsam

It’s about the unlikely but very credible courage and heroism of a traditional Muslim father who chooses his daughter’s desire over obedience to his religious elders and challenges patriarchal society for the same. Salim goes through isolation and struggles to earn a living, but he never gives up to fuel up his daughter’s desire.

Simmba

Good not only wins over evil but sometimes changes its heart as well. And, Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba is the best example of it.
