Deep Dasgupta On Rohit Sharma’s Performance In IND vs ENG: He Is Out Of Runs, Not Out Of Form
“In all the test matches, all the innings, he(Rohit) just looked so in form, so in control”, said Deep Dasgupta on Rohit Sharma’s performance in the first match of IND vs ENG.
In the first Test against England, Indian opener Rohit Sharma was sent back to the pavillion in an early stage while chasing a challenging 420-run target. Commenting on the same, former Indian cricketer Deep Dasgupta said, “It’s not that he’s out of form, he’s out of runs”.
Answering a fan’s question, the cricketer-turned-commentator said that Rohit Sharma looked good in all the test matches, all the innings. Till the time he got out, he looked in form. Talking about how the Indian opener was dismissed on good deliveries in the first Test in the IND vs ENG series, Dasgupta said, “In the first innings, it was a very good ball from Jofra Archer. Second was an absolute dream ball from Jack Leach.”
While commenting on how Rohit Sharma failed to capitalise on his good starts in the IND vs AUS series, Deep Dasgupta said that he should have converted those into better numbers and that he hopes that the Hitman would do that in the upcoming matches and convert his starts into a big score soon.
