There have been multiple instances throughout the history of humankind where the socio-economic gap between two people has not stopped them from being fond of one another. The trailer of Darbaan starts off with a similar hint where a caretaker played by Sharib Hashmi, who has always taken care of a young boy has to let go of him as he is sent away for education. However, the young boy then returns as a grown-up man played by Sharad Kelkar and asks the caretaker whether he would like to come back and assist his son as he grows up. However, once the caretaker makes it back to Kelkar’s house and starts assisting his kid in growing up, he becomes a little too fond of the kid which leads to various darkened incidents.
