Cowardly Act, Says Former CM On BMC Demolishing Kangana Ranaut’s Office
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has come out in support of Kangana Ranaut in her fight against Shiv Sena.
The verbal spat between Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and the Maharashtra Government has taken a dramatic turn with civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) moving in to demolish alleged illegal construction of her Manikarnika Films office in Mumbai. While the nation looks divided over the Ranaut fiasco, the actress has recently got the back of opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis who defended her by attacking Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for his ‘coward move’. This has never happened in the history of Maharashtra, Fadnavis said referring to the action by the BMC.
The former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Devendra Fadnavis said that Ranaut’s statement regarding city police force and Mumbai looking like Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) has mounted insult. But Maharashtra government’s move to demolish her property in order to take revenge is coward. His statement comes as BMC on Wednesday (September 9) razed parts of her residence and office in Bandra. However, the Bombay High Court has put a stay on the civic body’s demolition drive at her property in Mumbai.
