COVID-19: Sourav Ganguly In Home Quarantine As Brother Tests Positive
The BCCI President had apparently come in contact with his elder brother Snehasish recently.
As the havoc of COVID-19 rages on in India, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly’s brother Snehasish Ganguly is the latest to test positive for the virus. This has put the former Indian captain in a pickle, as he has been forced to put himself in home quarantine even as the future of the ill-fated Indian Premier League hangs in the balance. Sourav had apparently come in contact with Snehasish who lives in the same house as him, which is why he has been forced to take this step.
“The reports arrived late in the evening. As per health protocols, even Sourav will have to be in home quarantine for a stipulated period,” sources said on Wednesday. Another Bengali biggie who’s currently in home-quarantine is Avishek Dalmiya, the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). He is taking the safety measure as he had also come in contact with Snehasish, who is the association’s current General Secretary.
