COVID-19: Party Members Wish Home Minister Amit Shah A Speedy Recovery
Ministers including Rajnath Singh, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Mamata Banerjee wished Shah a speedy recovery.
Coronavirus seems to be making no exception in choosing its victims, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah testing positive on August 2. He tweeted this news, saying that he will be admitting himself to a hospital on advice from his doctors. He also requested all those who met him recently to self-quarantine themselves.
Shah has been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana. Meanwhile, wishes for his speedy recovery have been pouring in from his colleagues including Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad and Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Nitin Gadkari. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee too tweeted that Shah recovers soon.
As the Indian Government started Unlock 3 post the extended lockdown, positive cases have surged. Shah had been attending multiple official commitments including Lokmanya Tilak’s 100th death anniversary event on August 1 and a cabinet ministers’ meeting last week. It remains to be seen if all those who met Shah will also get themselves tested.
