COVID-19 News: Robot Named Mitra Assists Healthcare Workers In The Coronavirus Battle

Today the entire world is troubled with the novel Coronavirus. Lakhs of people have lost their lives while millions are getting infected every day. In India, healthcare workers are giving all their efforts to help the infected patients. To relieve the workload and pressure on the medical staff, a robot has been designed in Noida. This specially designed robot is responsible to look after the COVID-19 ward and inspect the patients. The robot has been named ‘Mitra’. With the invention of this robot, the healthcare workers will be at a lower risk of getting contracted with the virus.
The patients at the hospital bonded well with Mitra as he was available to help all of them 24 hours. In the absence of the doctors, the robot sends the patient’s details to the doctor so that necessary treatment can be prescribed. Further, Mitra also helps the patients to virtually connect with their closed ones.
