Could Huawei Be The Next Chinese Company On India’s Boycott List?
After imposing a ban on 59 Chinese apps the Indian government could well have directed its focus towards Huawei next.
Huawei is a global market leader in 5G and has had a big presence in India for 20 years. After imposing a ban on 59 Chinese apps citing the protection of the ‘sovereignty and security’ of the country, the Indian Government could well have directed its focus towards Huawei next. A global market leader in 5G solutions, the Chinese company has been operating in India for 20 years, making up one-third of Bharti Airtel’s network and 40 per cent of Vodafone Idea’s network. Huawei, in fact, employs around 7,500 people in India. The reason for its rise in India has been the offering of cheap network solutions that cannot be matched by competitors like Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung. Watch the complete video to find out exactly what kind of practices are leading to the building distrust towards Huawei by so many nations from around the world.
