On Monday, August 31, India’s Former President and Bharat Ratna, Pranab Mukherjee passed away after a prolonged illness. His death shook the entire political system of India. In an interview, Congress leader Sachin Pilot recalled his relations with Pranab Mukherjee and his priceless contribution to Indian politics and said that he was truly a patriotic person and was ready to commit to the nation under any circumstances.

Pilot further added that the former president was a man of wisdom and had immense political knowledge. According to news reports, the former president had been suffering from a serious lung infection. Mukherjee was undergoing treatment at the Army Hospital in Delhi cantonment. The hospital authorities issued a statement saying that the former President was in septic shock due to a lung infection. Political leaders across the nation paid their condolences.
