Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi Visits Assam Tea Plantations, Picks Leaves Too!
Dressed in a maroon cotton saree, she wore the bag that is supposed to be worn during the picking and as seen very religiously learning how to do the task from the women of the estate.
As elections are nearing in Assam, political leaders are showing up in the state and interacting with the people. Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra too was seen dancing among the Assamese women and recently she also visited a tea plantation where she performed the physical labour of plucking tea leaves as well. Dressed in a maroon cotton saree, she wore the bag that is supposed to be worn during the picking and as seen very religiously learning how to do the task from the women of the estate.
She was earlier seen happily doing the Jhoomar dance in a circle with the local women. This is evidently one of Priyanka Gandhi’s specialities: she can blend in with the crowd and make them feel heard and understood. In her 2-day poll campaign, she interacted with the local women on Day 2. After the picking, she gathered local women to speak to them about their issues and what she can do to change them.
She then headed to the Maha Bhairav temple after which she addressed a huge Maha rally. On the first day too, she visited the Kamakhya Devi temple. Congress eyeing the 126 seats very carefully and this move of mingling with the public is definitely one to try and secure a vote bank. The Congress wants to have Assam in their hold and not let it go to BJP at any cost.
Rahul Gandhi too is making big efforts to win Assam and other states in the upcoming elections.
Take a better look at her interaction with the Sadharu tea workers in this video.

The politician looked extremely happy among the crowds.
