Congress Demands FIR Against Gajendra Shekhawat Over Audio Tapes
The Rajasthan political crisis is showing no signs of winding down any time soon.
The Congress on Friday demanded that an FIR be filed against BJP leader and Union Minister, Gajendra Shekhawat who it has accused of “horse-trading” to bring down the Ashok Gehlot-led government in Rajasthan. The party has also released a couple of audiotapes that contain evidence of BJP leaders including Shekhawat speaking about bribing MLAs and toppling the state government. “BJP has breached the trust of people. The audio clip reveals horse-trading deal,” Congress spokesperson Randeep S Surjewal told reporters. “Yesterday, shocking tapes were aired by the media in which Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, BJP leader Sanjay Jain, and Congress MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma spoke about bribing MLAs and bringing down Rajasthan govt,” he added.
The Rajasthan political crisis is showing no signs of winding down any time soon. After the Congress sacked Deputy Chief Minister, Sachin Pilot, he was expected to join hands with the BJP, but he refused to do so on ideological grounds. There has been no proper communication from him since then about what his political future will be.
