Chhatarpur Police Rescue Abducted Kid Within 12 Hours
The kidnappers of the six-year-old child had demanded Rs 1 crore as ransom from his family
A six-year-old boy was kidnapped in broad daylight while playing outside his home in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. Panic struck when the family members could not find the child and started looking for him frantically. Soon after, the kidnappers called his kin and demanded for a massive ransom of Rs 1 crore.
The family from Chaubey colony in Civil Lines had meanwhile alerted the police who started their search immediately. CCTV footage was procured by the authorities and they detained two house helps for questioning.
The child was finally rescued from the kidnappers from the Niwari district, within 12 hours of his abduction. The youngster was recovered unharmed from a hill close to Niwari village by the alert police.
According to the local police, four people were involved in this incident. The culprits abandoned the young victim in the nearby forest fearing their arrest. The cops nabbed two of the accused, while the local villagers managed to catch the other two perpetrators.
Sources reveal that the relatives of the child had reached the location to hand over money and jewellery to the captors.
It is praiseworthy that the MP police was successful in busting a kidnapping in such a short span of time.
