Amidst this chaos the Indian film and television industry is once again facing a tumultuous time. Many films were slated to be released in 2021 but once again their release has been halted. One such film is Chehre. The film marks Emraan Hashmi first on-screen role with superstar Amitabh Bachchan. The film has been ready for release since last year, but the pandemic completely stalled its premiere.

Director Rumi Jaffery was eagerly waiting for cinema halls to open so his film could release, and the audience could experience it on the big screen. But once again the film’s release has been postponed. The film’s team does not want the audience to take any chance with their health and risk themselves in order to watch the film. While Chehre producer Anand Pandit released his film, Big Bull on an OTT platform the Amitabh and Emraan starrer does not seem to have the same fate. It seems like Anand Pandit wants to make sure that audience experiences the film on the big screen. Moreover, the producer has deemed the film a cinematic experience, hence watching it on a mobile phone or laptop screen does not make sense.

Apart from its delayed release, the film is also making headlines since it stars actor Rhea Chakraborty. Rhea Chakraborty made plenty of headlines last year due to her alleged involvement in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Apart from Rhea, Emraan, and Amitabh Bachchan, Chehre also stars actor Annu Kapoor. The film’s trailer has already released, and it received a positive response from the audience. Now, the audience is eagerly waiting for the film’s new release date to be announced.
