The biggest fashion house for haute couture, Chanel decided to release their Spring-Summer collection a bit differently this year, ditching their traditional runway catwalk for a smaller, more intimate presentation. With France being under COVID-19 restrictions, the label decided to create an intimate and romantic set up at the Grand Palais in Paris and only called the most famous faces and ambassadors of Chanel who watched the show while maintaining a social distance. This time around, there wasn’t a flurry of celebrities, photographers and influencers. Instead, Chanel decided to give the presentation a feeling of family, like an inner circle.

This event was shared on their social media sites to gain traction since they could only reach their viewers through screens! The presentation saw organza dresses, floral embroidery, pale colours and also a lot of blacks! Take a look:

The show took place under arches of flowers, and the floor too was decorated with flowers. Golden bulbs were strung together to give it a more cottage and romantic vibe.

The fashion house really focused on the beauty of spring and summer with this collection. Take a look:

Models wore flower crowns, classic tweed jackets with embellishments and chiffon dresses at the show. Penelope Cruz, Lilly Rose Depp among others were seen at the show.

The show ended with the arrival of the Chanel bride on a horse, wearing a collared white dress with embroidered butterflies from the 1920’s stylebook.
