Centre Issues Unlock 4.0 Guidelines; Lifts Several Restrictions
Metro services, interstate and intrastate travel, public gatherings up to 100 people allowed in Unlock 4.0
After nearly four months of nationwide lockdown imposed to curb the spread of novel Coronavirus, the Central Government has issued unlock 4.0 guidelines that came into force on Tuesday, September 1, and will remain in force till September 30. According to the news reports, metro services will operate from September 7 in a graded manner. Interstate and intrastate transportation of people and goods will be allowed without separate permissions. Moreover, public gatherings of up to 100 people and open-air theatres will be permitted from September 21.
The lockdown will continue until September 30 in containment zones. Also, schools, colleges, coaching institutions, swimming pools, entertainment parks and theatres will remain shut until further notice. Senior citizens, children below the age of 10 and people will health conditions are advised to stay home. However, they are allowed to move out of the house in case of emergency.
