Amidst the ongoing Assembly Elections in the country, the Home Minister Amit Shah and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, have received death threats, along with a threat of a terror attack. The CRPF Headquarters of Mumbai have received an email, which contains these threats. Read on to know more about it.

The Headquarters of CRPF, which is the Central Railway Police Force, in Mumbai received a threatening email, which said, “11+ terrorist and suicide bombers are active. Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath is in danger.” According to reports, the sender of the mail has not yet been revealed. The reports also say that the email also threatens to carry out attacks on religious places in India.

Regarding the situation, the Director General of Police of the CRPF, Kuldiep Singh, has said that they have forwarded the threatening email to the concerned agencies of Maharashtra and the Centre and has said that all the authorized personnel are working on it, as per their instructions.

According to reports, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also received death threats in the past. In January this year, the Emergency Service of the state’s Police had received a threatening message, which was addressed to the Chief Minister, and said that ‘he would be killed with an AK-47 within 24 hours.’ Similarly, in November 2020 and also in May 2020, the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had received threat messages. The people behind both the cases were found by the UP Police.
