Celebrate Book Lovers Day with Kamali, Maya, and Rachana’s favourite read! From Who Moved My Cheese to The Secret, find out who’s reading what?

Now here’s a day for all you bibliophiles to celebrate, isn’t it? Observed on 9th August every year, here’s wishing all of you a very happy and peaceful National Book Lovers Day on behalf of the Zee Kannada family. It’s not a hidden fact that books have been in our lives since time immemorial and these are the only things that let you escape from your reality into another world entirely, any time and anywhere. Literature as a whole has been very crucial in preserving history, culture and what have you. Even at a time when we were technologically unsound, books or clay tablets or magazines were the major sources of entertainment and knowledge.

Did you know that a printing revolution was started by a goldsmith, blacksmith and inventor called Johannes Gutenberg in the 1400s, who created the first-ever mechanical printing machine? Thanks to his great work, reading was accepted widely all over the globe and with open arms eventually. Now, all these books have translated to applications on our mobile phones, to make it easily accessible to us and on the go. Remember that today, it is a tradition to put away your smartphones and go back to the old ways of entertainment; sitting and enjoying a real book. Like these Zee Kannada actresses…

Hello! Which book are you reading currently? Lately, I finished reading 'The Secret'. Well, if you've ever wondered what do I do during my off shoot, books would keep my eyes glued in every possible time. One of my pastimes.. . . I wonder what on the earth is it so inspiring and exciting to read the books. It feels somebody has lured me to do so. Lol. Perhaps, the book shown in the picture is spectacular. I believe everybody deserves to read it to enhance their quality of lives way much better. . . . Books teach who you are! Life convictions are revised through a wise book. I always feel younger generation should never be afraid of being alone. One should always understand the zeal of being in their own company. That's the Niche is one's life. __An Ardent reader. . . . P. S. Henceforth, planning to read 'Milk & Honey' by Rupi Kaur. Yep, I know I'm late. Hence, would be starting sometime down the line. Don't hesitate to comment or dm the review of the same!! Have a beautiful evening all ?? #bookstagram #booksofinstagram #bibliophile #momentsofmine #postotfortheaesthetic #bookandcoffee #chaiaurkitaab

Since I am a big fan of mythological fiction, my favourite reads are the ‘Shiva Trilogy’ by author Amish Tripathi and Phillip Pullman’s ‘His Dark Materials’. While I go to sip some hot coffee, sit by the window and begin another mythological trilogy, I suggest you do the same, because Mobile phones can take a backseat just for today!
