BJP Hits Back At Congress After Supreme Court Decision On PM Cares Fund
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and BJP Chief JP Nadda lashed out at Rahul Gandhi for trying to malign the government’s efforts
On Tuesday, after the Supreme Court dismissed a plea seeking the transfer money from the PM Cares Fund to the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hit back at the Congress. “Transparency is writ large in PM Cares Fund,” said Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. BJP Chief JP Nadda called the Supreme Court verdict a “resounding blow to the nefarious designs of Rahul Gandhi,” in a tweet. The PM Cares Fund was created this March for the COVID-19 pandemic in India but the Indian Government has refused for the fund to be audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
“Rahul Gandhi has been doing this based on what his advisors say. He has continuously been making statements to weaken the country on multiple fronts. He has left no stone unturned to weaken the country’s resolve in the fight against Coronavirus,” added Prasad. He mentioned that the PM Cares Fund has contributed Rs 3,100 crore to the fight against coronavirus in India.
