Biker Arrested For Touching Almost 300 Kmph In Bengaluru During Lockdown
The arrest of the biker comes amid a strict lockdown that has been imposed in the city, since July 14 amid rising COVID-19 cases.
A video of a Bengaluru biker’s antics has led to his arrest, as he can clearly be seen touching a speed of almost 300 kmph, while driving on almost empty roads in the lockdown-hit city. The city’s Central Crime Branch registered a case against the biker before handing it over to Bengaluru Traffic Police for further investigation. According to Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), the rider was traced and his Yamaha 1000 cc bike was seized.
The Bengaluru police said that the video was posted on an Instagram handle that goes by “bluebeast46” and features several similar clips. This particular post went viral and had been viewed by over 9,000 people when the cops checked it. The arrest of the biker comes amid a strict lockdown that has been imposed on the city seeing the rapid growth of coronavirus positive cases there. This lockdown has been in place since July 14.
