Bihar Elections 2020: Lalu Prasad Yadav Will Not Be Free Despite Bail Being Granted
Even though the Jharkhand High Court granted bail to Yadav in Chaibasa treasury case, he will remain in jail as the final decision of Dumka treasury case still pending.
Former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav who was imprisoned after being accused in the Chaibasa treasury case related to the fodder scam. The Jharkhand High Court gave its decision regarding the bail application of Lalu Prasad Yadav. The former Bihar CM had applied for bail for the upcoming elections. Yadav claimed that he has completed half of his imprisonment tenure and shall be granted bail.
The Jharkhand High Court granted bail to Yadav in Chaibasa treasury case however, he will remain in jail as the final decision of Dumka treasury case still pending. News reports confirmed that Lalu Prasad Yadav will not be free as he has been sentenced to 14 years imprisonment in connection to the Dumka treasury embezzlement case.
Sources state that Yadav’s absence is felt among his party leaders. Yadav is one of the senior leaders and his experience would have played a very crucial role in campaigning for the upcoming assembly elections.
