Bharti Singh leaves jail with husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa
While the court had ordered Bharti Singh to Kalyan Jail, her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa was in Taloja Jail. On Monday, the paparazzi spotted the couple leaving for their home after being granted bail. Besides, a few family members of the duo were accompanying them. They also waved their hands at the media.
According to a report by India News, Bharti Singh had earlier admitted to consuming narcotic substances, which her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa procured. NCB revealed the same in its official statement after arresting the comedienne. It also disclosed that Limbachiyaa had received marijuana from peddlers in the metro city of Mumbai. Moreover, the agency had reportedly found a small amount of Ganja at their house in Andheri and their production office.
Previously, the couple’s advocate said to the court that the agency had recovered drugs from their house and the couple had also admitted to consuming them, making it no point of taking them in custody then. As per Mumbai Mirror, Ayaz Khan, the duo’s advocate, called a case of a small quantity of contraband, for which the punishment was up to one year in jail. As the case was of consumption and not peddling of drugs, he argued why the NCP needed custody in it while they had already recorded the statements.
During the raid, the officials had reportedly gotten 65 grams of a substance, which later proved to be Ganja, from Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s place in Andheri. Moreover, a report also revealed that they recovered an unaccounted amount of ₹1,49,000 in cash from the house.
