Brutal accounts of the way in which the cops were killed have come forth through the reports.
Autopsy reports of the eight policemen who were murdered on July 3 in the Bikaru village of Kanpur have now come out, and they paint an ugly picture of what actually transpired at the site. The eight officers were killed in an ambush by men loyal to slain gangster Vikas Dubey, who had managed to escape police custody but was later killed in an encounter after a car carrying him met with an accident just outside Kanpur on July 10.
The post-mortem reports reveal that sharp objects were used to kill all of the eight officers. Chief Officer (CO), Devendra Mishra was shot four times. While three bullets were found in his chest and stomach, one was found inside his head. Vikas Dubey’s men had also cut his leg after killing him. Apart from this, three other policemen were shot in the head as well, while one was shot in the face. It is clear from the post-mortem report of all eight policemen that all were brutally murdered.
