Asaduddin Owaisi Objects To PM Modi Attending Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan
According to the AIMIM President, Modi’s presence at the foundation stone laying ceremony is against the basic structure of the Indian constitution
Amid the celebration of the historic and auspicious day of the Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Mandir temple in Ayodhya, a lot of political controversies sparked. Recently, Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said that while the Supreme Court may have delivered its verdict on the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya land title dispute, the case will not end as long as he is alive. He even objected to PM Narendra Modi attending the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony, claiming that it sends a wrong message among the masses as the PM is conveniently supporting his religion.
He stated that Modi attending the ceremony in Ayodhya to support his religion goes against the basic structure of the constitution. Owaisi further added that the coming generations will be made aware of the history of this case as a masjid stood over the land, and that on December 6, 1992 it was demolished. Had the masjid not been demolished, this function of Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Mandir would not have taken place, he pointed out.
