Arjun Kapoor & Anshula Kapoor Help Over 30,000 Needy People During Covid-19
Actor Arjun Kapoor and his sister Anshula Kapoor raise funds to help the needy, amid the Covid-19 crisis
The second wave of Covid-19 has brought several people raising funds to help those in need. Amongst the several celebrities who raised funds to help Covid-19 patients is actor Arjun Kapoor. The latter revealed that he put all his life savings to help his sister Anshula Kapoor on her new venture. The brother-sister duo raised nearly 1 crore rupees through their fundraiser, which will be beneficial for around 30,000 people across India. The money was collected through a celebrity fundraiser platform Fan Kind.
In one of his interviews, Arjun Kapoor had revealed that he had invested his life savings for the venture and it makes him proud to be helping those in need, during these desperate and tiring times. He added that the way the pandemic has been tough on us, the only way they can deal with it is by coming out and helping one another. He said people should help the needy with ration kits, food kits, hygiene kits and also provide migrants with cash.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor has a bunch of films that will be releasing soon. While his films Bhoot Police and Ek Villian Returns will be releasing soon. His upcoming film Sardar Ka Grandson will be releasing on Netflix. The film will be releasing on May 18, 2021, marking Arjun Kapoor’s debut on the digital platform. The film is directed by Kaashvi Nair and also stars actors Neena Gupta and Rakul Preet Singh, along with an ensemble cast. The upcoming feel-good film follows the story of a devoted grandson who embarks on a complicated and comical journey to fulfil his ailing grandmother’s last wish to die in her own house, which happens to be located at the other end of the world. As she cannot travel due to health complications, the grandson takes the quote ‘I can move mountains for you’, quite seriously.
