For those unversed, Aparna Sen, in an interview had revealed that The Rapist is a “hard-hitting drama that examines how much of society is responsible for producing rapists.” Sen had also mentioned that the film will stress upon sexual violence and sexual trauma prevalent in society. And exploring the “aftermath of the crime” would be the crux of the story.
