An Earthquake Of 2.5 Magnitude Hits North Of Mumbai; No Loss Of Life Reported
An earthquake of magnitude 2.5 on the richter scale struck 103 km north of Mumbai.
When the city of Mumbai is struggling to fight against the dangerous COVID-19 pandemic, another incident puts the city in danger. After getting lucky in case of Nisarga cyclone which fortunately didn’t hit the city, an earthquake of magnitude 2.5 on the Richter scale struck 103 km north of Mumbai on Wednesday. The National Centre for Seismology confirmed that “An earthquake of 2.5 magnitudes was recorded 103 km north of Mumbai, Maharashtra at around 11:51 am,”. (ANI)
Though the earthquake did not cause any loss of life or damage to property, people are requested to follow safety measures like staying at home, avoid taking shelter under trees or buildings in case of rains. The earthquake of this magnitude is not considered to be serious but a detailed study will be carried out by the authorities.
