Amit Shah Meets NSA Ajit Doval, IB Chief and Police Chief Ahead Of February 6 Chakka Jam
To avoid any kind of repetition of the 26 January violence tomorrow during the chakka jam by the farmers, union minister Amit Shah held a high profile meeting at the Parliament to review all security arrangements
Ahead of the farmers’ chakka jam tomorrow (6 February), a high-level meeting was chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval , Intelligence Bureau chief Arvind Kumar and Delhi Police Commissioner RN Shrivastava in attendance. The discussion took place at the Parliament House. After massive violence unfolded during the Republic Day tractor parade when thousands of protesters breached the designated routes and created widespread unrest, today’s conference is seen as a step to ensure a fool proof strategy for the upcoming nationwide blockade.
On 1 February, farm union leaders had announced their decision to carry out a chakka jam on Saturday where they would block all national and state highways across India between 12 noon to 3 pm. While the community’s primary objective is to achieve the rollback of the three centre-imposed farm bills, tomorrow’s demonstration is also to call out the curbing of their freedom of speech by disbanding internet services in and around the protest sites by the government and the police.
