American Users of Google Pay Old App to Lose Payment Features By January 2021
Several reports claim that the American users of Google Pay’s old app will lose payment features by January 2021. Also, the tech giant plans to relaunch the payment app with new features.
Google Pay recently launched a new version of its app with an array of new features that transcend from being a payment app to a multi-utility app. Meanwhile, the tech giant has planned to stop payment feature in its old version for all American users. According to a report on The Verge, American users using the old version of Google Pay will not be able to send or receive payment from January 2021.
Google Pay introduces new features
A few weeks ago, Google Pay introduced a new version of its payment app. The latest version of the app that rolled out in the US last week has new features like access to Gmail, Google photos, among others. Meanwhile, Google will also introduce a 1.5 per cent fee when users transfer money from Google Pay using a debit card. Interestingly, the fee has only been introduced in the US.
