The second wave of Covid-19 has certainly turned our world upside down. While many lives are adversely affected by the pandemic, our B-town celebs are coming forward to lend a hand. In a similar instance, Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has now teamed up with an NGO for a relief campaign. This initiative aims to help underprivileged communities by providing them groceries and essential materials. Sharing a video on social media, Alia informed the fans about this campaign and urged them to contribute to the cause.

The actor talked about the “devastating” impact of the pandemic on the livelihood of many communities. Alia shared that she has partnered with the NGO ActionAid India to help the needy. She wrote, “The pandemic has had a devastating impact on employment and incomes with many struggling to even get two square meals a day. ActionAid India is working across multiple states, helping some of the poorest communities survive by providing them with essential groceries and hygiene materials.”

Furthermore, Alia urged people to amplify and contribute to this good cause. She has been raising awareness through her social media handles. The actor has been sharing vital information relating to Covid-19 help. Recently, she also promoted the relief campaigns by Salaam Bombay Foundation and Give India. Also, Alia is actively involved in the ‘Vaccinate India’ program wherein she discusses every query related to Covid-19 vaccines with professional doctors. 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia will be next seen in the Telugu magnum opus RRR. Helmed by SS Rajamouli, the film also features Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, and Ajay Devgn in the lead. The film has been in the buzz ever since its announcement and the fans are eagerly waiting for its release. Also, Alia has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, relasing this year.
