Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal to become producers for ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ under their production house, Pushing Buttons Studios.

Of late, we’ve seen a lot of actors turning into producers. The last we heard starlet Alia Bhatt had disclosed her latest venture, her own production house called Eternal Sunshine. The first film that Alia’s production house announced is Darlings which will be made in collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Now keeping up with the trend, Bollywood’s star couple, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have decided to turn producers with their own production house titled, Pushing Buttons Studios.

The first film to be released under the newly-launched banner of Pushing Buttons Studios is titled, ‘Girls Will Be Girls’. The script of this film will be written by Shuchi Talati known for her film, A Period Piece. She might also be the one directing the film.

Trade analyst and Indian film critic, Taran Adarsh was the one to share this news through his Instagram handle. He wrote, “RICHA CHADHA – ALI FAZAL TURN PRODUCERS… #RichaChadha and #AliFazal turn producers, announce their production company: Pushing Buttons Studios… The first script to be green-lit under their banner is titled #GirlsWillBeGirls and will be directed by Shuchi Talati.”

As per sources, the movie will be set against the backdrop of an elite boarding school in a small Himalayan hill town in northern India. It will follow the story of a 16-year-old girl, whose rebellion as she grows old is seized by her mother who never got to do the same. This film is scheduled to go on floors soon.
