Akshay Kumar And Ranjit Tiwari’s New Project Titled ‘Mission Cinderella’
Akshay Kumar will be seen essaying the role of a police officer in Mission Cinderella. Reportedly, the makers have planned to shoot the film in London.
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar seems to have reserved his dates for the coming few years. Having wrapped up his unfinished projects, the actor is on a film signing spree. Recently we reported that Akshay has teamed up with Bell Bottom director Ranjit Tiwari for a new project. And as per the latest scoop, the film is titled ‘Mission Cinderella’ and will be the remake of the hit Tamil thriller ‘Ratsasan’. While the original film was set in India itself, the remake will be shot in the UK.
As per the reports, Akshay Kumar will be seen essaying the role of a police officer. The makers have planned to shoot the film in London including few other parts of the UK. Also, the producers have been referring to the film as Project Cinderella. On the other hand, the team has also registered titles like ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Mission Cinderella’. Talking about the story, Akshay as a cop will be on a mission to track down a child abduction racket in the city.
Though the complete cast of Mission Cinderella is yet to be announced, Rakul Preet Singh has been roped in as the female lead. The film will mark the first collaboration of Akshay and Rakul. And that’s another major highlight of this new project. It is being backed by Jackky Bhagnani who is also one of the producers of Akshay’s upcoming release Bell Bottom.
For those unversed, the original film ‘Ratsasan’ opened up to rave reviews from fans as well as the critics. Released in 2018, the film is considered to be one of the finest last-minute thrillers of recent times. And now, that it is getting remade in Hindi, it would be interesting to see if it lives up to its original. Moreover, for the fans obsessed with the thriller genre, it would definitely be a treat.
