Ajay Devgn Starrer War Drama ‘Bhuj The Pride Of India’ Gets A Release Date

Bhuj: The Pride Of India will be a homage to Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who played a  significant role in India’s victory in the 1971 war. The highly anticipated film featuring Ajay Devgn is slated to release on August 13.

There have been many cinematic renditions surrounding the aftermath of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. While some stories gave a tragic insight into the war, a few others portrayed intra-political affairs of the time. And now, the upcoming Bollywood drama ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ will shed light on the ‘epic battle’ of 1971. The war-saga featuring Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt in the lead has been in the buzz since its announcement. And now finally, it is all set to release on August 13 on Disney+ Hotstar

Helmed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film is based on the real events of the 1971 war. Wherein Pakistan attacked the Bhuj airbase as part of ‘Operation Chenghiz Khan’. The film highlights the numerous attacks made at the Bhuj airfield. And the story of this war-based drama will mainly focus on the journey of IAF Squadron Vijay Karnik who reconstructed the Bhuj airbase with the help of 300 local women. Ajay Devgn will be seen essaying the role of Karnik.

Recently, Ajay took to his social media handles to announce the release date of this much-awaited film. Sharing an interesting poster, he wrote, “1971. THE GREATEST BATTLE EVER FOUGHT. #BhujThePrideOfIndia releasing on 13th August only on @DisneyplusHSVIP.” Also, the trailer of the film will be out on July 12. While this war drama will mark another big release on OTT, fans are excited to see the first glimpse of this highly anticipated project.

Apart from Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, the film also features Ammy Virk, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles. Though nothing more about their characters is revealed, fans are eager to see these talented actors together. Producer Bhushan Kumar has backed this big-budget project and went on with the OTT release considering the Covid-19 situation.
