Ajay Devgn’s Chanakya created a massive buzz when the big-budget project was first announced last year. And, following the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was delayed for a long time. However, recent reports surrounding the film suggest that the upcoming project is likely to proceed with Ajay initiating the shoot by November 2021.
Talking about the same, writer-lyricist Manoj Muntashir revealed that Ajay is currently busy with his commitments on other film projects. The actor will resume working on Chanakya in late November. He also added that the shoot might begin from October 2021.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film is based on the real-life story of ancient Indian philosopher Chanakya and Ajay will be seen sporting a bald look. Earlier, in an interview, Ajay had revealed that he has complete faith in this project and believes it to possess “Oscar-worthy” content. Ever since, the upcoming film has created a wave of excitement among the masses.
Writer Manoj Muntashir and director Neeraj Pandey travelled all across the northern cities of India to research the real-life stories of Chanakya and his contribution to structuring society. They also read some important books from literature which were mainly based on the philosopher’s life which ultimately led them to craft an interesting script for this promising project.
On the work front, Ajay was last seen in Om Raut’s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ which also starred Saif Ali Khan and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles.
