After G.O.D, ZEE5 Brings Chadarangam, A Political Drama Inspired By Real-Life Events

The success of ZEE5 original, Gods of Dharmapuri, has turned the tables around. Now, we know the potential and the talent that the regional markets are houses to. The Satyadev Kancharana-starrer had us all hooked to the screen, as we passed through two generations of gangster drama and politics. If that’s what you enjoy, in general, our news will make your day better. Soon, we will have yet another political drama starring the yesteryear star Meka Srikantha. The show is titled Chadarangam and is based on true events, which unfolded in 1980-1984 in the then Andhra Pradesh.

The show draws inspiration from the events that unfolded during legendary actor NT Rama Rao’s regiment as the Chief Minister of the state. Chadarangam is a fictionalised take on the events that unfolded inside the offices, and the drama revolving around them. Recently, the first poster of the show was released on Instagram, and it gives us hope that we’re in for many grey shades and tales that blur the boundaries of morality. Check out the poster here.

Along with Srikanth, in the lead role, we have popular actors like Nagineedu, Ravi Prakash, Raja Sreedhar, Kousalya, Pamya Pasupuleti. Sunainaa, who was previously seen in Amala Akkineni’s High Priestess, makes a come back to the OTT platform with Chadarangam, too. The show also has seasoned performers like Koteswara Rao, amongst others. Spanning over nine episodes, this drama is all set to release on February 20, 2020.
