Advocate Kushal Mor Speaks Up On Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe’s Arrest For Alleged Creation of Pornography

The Mumbai court has sent businessman Raj Kundra to police custody till July 23. He, on Monday, was arrested in connection to an alleged pornographic app ‘hotshots’ and for the ‘creation of pornographic films’. As per reports, apart from him, 11 others have been arrested for the same. Advocate Kushal Mor recently addressed the case in the media and talked about what happened in the court during Kundra’s hearing. He represents Ryan Thorpe – IT head of Raj Kundra’s company – who has also been taken into custody in connection to this case.

Kushal Mor said that they objected to the police custody remand for both Raj Kundra as well as Ryan Thorpe. “After arguing in several places, the court agreed to hold them till July 23rd..” Mor said.

Kushal Mor also said that the police has levelled several allegations against both of them. Some of them include the creation of pornographic films and producing them as well. He claimed that whatever material was produced in the court during the hearing, could not be classified as pornographic. “Section 67 A, which is a non-bailable offence, is not applicable in this case in any way..”, he said.

When a reporter asked him whether the Hotshots app has been sold or remains under Kundra’s ownership, the advocate said that he does not have any information about it. He was also asked about the various allegations made by the police against them. In response, he said, “The allegations made by police include the creation of (pornographic) films, transmitting them to the UK, and then earing through it..”

When further probed about Raj Kundra, Kushal Mor stated that as he is appearing for Ryan Thorpe, he does not know much about the former’s case.
