Actor Prakash Raj is anything but happy about the recently concluded MAA polls, In a fresh Twitter salvo, the actor questions the presence of a YSRCP leader during the polls.

The war of words over the hotly contested Movie Artistes Association (MAA) election held a couple of weeks ago, seems to be far from over. Veteran actor Prakash Raj who lost a landslide to incumbent MAA President Vishnu Manchu has taken to micro-blogging site Twitter to share his apprehensions about the elections being anything but free from political intervention.

With his now trademark hashtag #justasking, Prakash Raj quizzed the election officer Krishna Mohan about the presence of Nukala Sambasiva Rao, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) at the polling venue.

The pictures that Prakash Raj shared shows Nukala Sambasiva Rao along with actor Mohan Babu and presidential contestant and eventual winner Vishnu Manchu. One of the pictures also showed Nukala Sambasiva Rao on the phone with someone even as the MAA election officers were tallying the votes cast.

The actor also shared in the post a report that was previously presented to the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court, Jaggaiahpeta citing the criminal antecedents of Nukala Sambasiva Rao, a rowdy sheeter in Jaggaiahpeta police station.

Demanding that the election officer Krishna Mohan provide him with the CC(TV) footage of the election, the actor said this could help him let the world know what happened at the MAA elections. The veteran who had recently exhorted Krishna Mohan to review the video evidence on record had alleged that members on the Vishnu Manchu panel had rigged the election process.

In the aftermath of the elections, 11 newly elected office bearers and executive committee members of the Prakash Raj group had decided to part company with MAA and announced their decision at a media conference. Those who quit had stated they did not want the Vishnu Manchu camp giving their presence at MAA as an excuse for not delivering on their poll promises.

Vishnu Manchu won the elections securing 109 votes more than the veteran actor. The group supporting Vishnu bagged the important posts of general secretary, treasurer, vice-president and joint secretary post respectively and 10 of the 18 posts to the executive committee.
