Actor Malvi Malhotra Recalls Horrific Stabbing Incident, Says Attacker Wanted To Injure Her Face

Actor Malvi Malhotra, who recently got discharged from hospital after getting stabbed by a film producer, recalled the horrific incident in a recent interview with news channel India TV. “I was walking back home after a meeting when Yogesh approached me. He wanted to settle things with me. However, I refused to talk to him, which infuriated him,” said Malvi Malhotra in the interview with India TV.

Malvi Malhotra further revealed that after she refused to talk to Yogesh, he stabbed her in the abdomen. “He also tried to injure my face and neck. But, I covered the face with my hands,” added Malvi Malhotra in the interview. Malvi Malhotra suspected that the attacker wanted to injure her face and neck to sabotage her acting career.

Malvi Malhotra was attacked on October 26, 2020, by producer Yogesh Mahipal Singh. She was immediately admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, and after multiple surgeries, the actor’s condition is stable.

Meanwhile, the accused was arrested by Mumbai Police on October 27, 2020, following an FIR filed by the actor. The accused was arrested under various sections of IPC, including 307 (attempt to murder). The accused has been following Malvi Malhotra for past one year, revealed Malvi in the interview. She also disclosed that the accused approached her for a music video which never materialised.

Malvi Malhotra is a model-turned-actor who has acted in many TV shows and films. She made her acting debut with Colors TV’s Udaan in 2017. Besides TV, Malvi Malhotra has worked in several Hindi and Tamil movies. Malvi was last seen in Vishal Mishra’s Hotel Milan with Kunaal Roy Kapur and Karishma Sharma.
