Growing Up Pangs
Passion For Acting
Krishna belongs to a business family. But he was always enthusiastic about stage performances and dance shows. In college, his friends compared him and his skills to popular Tollywood actors. With this motivation, Krishna mastered impersonating legendary actors Nageshwar Rao garu and Balakrishna garu. The fact that he had a fair complexion also prompted people to call him ‘hero-material’.
The Beginning Of A New Reality
With all that he had been hearing about himself, Krishna decided to complete his B. Tech and move to Hyderabad to pursue a career in acting. After a lot of struggle and rejections, he managed to get an anchoring job. Much later, one day Krishna was approached by Annapurna Studios and called for an audition.
The Journey Towards Muddha Mandaram
The makers of Muddha Mandaram had mentioned that a promo was scheduled to be shot on a Sunday. Krishna, after his auditions and screen tests, had lost all hope since he did not get a call until Saturday night. Finally, he made the cut and shot for the promo. Krishna says that was the happiest day of his life.
Chinna Babu-Aishwarya Relationship
In the show, he is married to Aishwarya, played by Sandra Jaichandran who is senior and more experienced than Krishna. They have been the winner of ‘Cutest Couple On Screen’ twice. Talking about his closeness with his co-actor Krishna said Sandra is a thorough professional, so his initial reluctance is no more a problem.
Becoming The Ghattammaneni Prince
Soon after the mega-success of Muddha Mandaram, Krishna was given the title of ‘Ghattammaneni Prince’, given the fact that his name in the show is Mahi Ghattammaneni. But maybe it is also a direct comparison to Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu? Krishna feels blessed and says that since the show’s success, he has been living like a prince.
From anchoring to becoming a star on the small-screen, Krishna has lived it all. In the near future, he wants to be associated with Telugu cinema, irrespective of his role. If not an actor, he believes he would be working as a software engineer or helping his father in their family business.
