Recalling some shows and movies where we saw characters who were not good husbands or partners for their better halves!

The Married Woman is an upcoming series, starring Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra in the lead roles, which is premiering on ZEE5 on March 8. The Married Woman revolves around the story of Aastha, a woman who finds herself feeling stuck in her married world, and explores herself by #BreakingTheBarriers that the world has set for her. We also see her husband, Hemant (Suhaas Ahuja) who, from his teaser, seems dismissive about Aashta’s choices and preferences. Like Hemant’s character, here is a recalling of some other reel-life husbands, who weren’t nearly perfect soul mates for their wives.

Srikant – Dev DD 2

In Dev DD 2, Devika’s cousin, Aruna (Haseen Mastan Mirza), is married to Srikant (Sandeep Pandey), who is a complete jerk. Not only does he put all the responsibilities on his wife while being idle himself, but he is also a creep who leaves no chance of being inappropriate with other women. Aruna deserved a lot better. Period.

Well… Where do I even begin talking about Bhadrapratap? Bhadrapratap (Annu Kapoor) in Paurashpur, is a king who is deeply submerged in lust. To fulfil his desires, he has married multiple women and has no shame in abusing and torturing them. He was not a good king or a husband or even a good person. And he was made to pay for his abusive actions in the best way.
